We all love that time of year, when you maybe spend time with family, get some presents from Santa, and maybe even get stalked by your family-friendly elf. Anyway, it is a time when you can explore the contents of your pantry until you have created hundreds of masterpieces. This season, I will be creating my OWN recipes, and experimenting with what works, and what doesn't. There will be treats and trumps for all, with plenty of laughs to go around, and obviously some delicious snacks along the way! By the way... I will update this post as I make these treats. So don't think something is wrong if the recipes aren't showing up! So check back sometime soon to see the results! 1. Cake presentsPrediction: I have a feeling that this will either work really well, or fail miserably. If it is the preferable option (it works really well), it would work well as a stand-in for classroom candy-canes, or just as a little seasonal dessert. I would use either chocolate cake, or Christmas fruit-cake. Wish me luck! 2. Melting Strawberry-Snowmen Prediction: Similar to the cake presents, these would either work amazingly or fail horribly. Either way, it would be a delicious result. For the nose and buttons, mini chocolate-chips. For the eyes, little sugar-balls. 3. Ice-cream TreesPrediction: If it all goes to plan, there should be a waffle cone (dipped in green chocolate melts) and mint-choc ice cream in the middle, with strawberry and chocolate sauce as tinsel. If it doesn't go to plan, it will look like The Grinch attacked it. Either way, at least you can relate it to something Christmassy, right?... (Someone reassure me that I'm correct please!) 4. Santa HatsPrediction: These should be the hardest to stuff up. All they are is fresh strawberries with a ring of whipped cream at the bottom, and a blob of the stuff at the top. Maybe I can even replace the cream with marshmallows or something like that. Surely they are that easy...! 5. Comment Below! If you have any ideas on what I should attempt, please contact me! (I literally have no ideas, so Im completely open and welcoming to any crazy suggestions!)
