These meringues are a crowd-pleaser, and when I sold them at my school's mini fete, they all ran out in around 45 minutes! They are really fun to make, as they can be dyed a rainbow of colours! And, if you want, you can even make a giant meringue, fill it with whipped cream, and ta-da! You have yourself a pavlova! Just cover with cream and fruit, and some grated chocolate.

Always a crowd-pleaser and a party favourite, this traditional pastry works as a gift, something to bring to someone else's house as a dessert, or even as a birthday cake - oops, birthday strudel! It originated in the Austria-Germany area, and traditional recipes are passed down for generations. This recipe is actually from my dad's Austrian best friend's mum, and she even serves this strudel for breakfast!
